TC's Playbarn, Jungle Bungle, Deep Sea Den
Once long ago, I'd never heard of them
Once long before, in the old days when
Playzones were things we made in the woods
Using branches and ropes like Robin the Hood
McDonalds, Kentucky Fried, good old Burger King
Once these were just places we all ate in
In three minutes flat we got burgers and shakes in
Sitting to eat in relative peace,
gorging upon our fast food feast
Now as a parent of the new Millenium
I'm forced to become more aware of them
These days I know them all intimately
TC's Playbarn, Jungle Bungle and that bloody
Sharks Den in it's deep plastic sea
Ball pools, tunnel slides, coloured catch nets
Was it sad desperation that forced me to get
Trapped inside this grim children's hell
Trapped in here with this musty old smell
Sweaty kids, sweaty feet and sweaty me, as well By
