Sandbox

Rock along, you!
Repeating the motions
which comprise your life
so smugly confident
so self-assurred
you got it all
nailed it home
rhetoric worn
tight
and up the crack
like outgrown jeans.

Rock on, you!
Over your shoulder
behind your back
a sneak attack
fade to black
reality.
Bigger and bolder
least expected
undetected
a single love
has all the power

to turn your sandbox
upside-down.
Ain't life grand?
