I sit here in silence
Numb from the inside out
All that I knew is no more my reality
So this is what pain is all about
What am I supposed to do
When they always say the wrong thing
What if I don't care about the flowers, the gifts
Whatever the people bring
This feeling is overwhelming
One I can't even describe
And I'm sure there's no medication
To help, that they could perscribe
Don't tell me, you know
You don't get it
Though I do need to know that you care
Just being there to hurt with me
Is all that I need- If you dare
This makes no sense
And it's not fair at all
It'll only be so long
Before my defenses fall
So don't leave me, I need you
Don't stop caring, I want you
Eventually I'll be ok
But until then please just be there...
