Reality misunderstood
Of all the things I thought
I never guessed you
I imagined something a little less
Complicated
Here we are, slightly awkward and confused
The cat is surely out of the bag
If only fantasy could really meet reality
Perhaps the future would be sweet
I imagined someone a little bit
Closer, possibly older
God knows I can’t pick my today
And I’m afraid to see tomorrow
But the past makes much more sense than before
Who would have known that it all would fit together eventually
Here we are, exactly where we were
Nothing and everything has changed all at once
